|Camps Bay, Cape Town|
|Cape Town has some of the most beautiful City beaches of any city in the world. Camps Bay is the most famous and largest of beaches for playing, surrounded by the famous Table Mountain and the clear blue cold Atlantic Ocean. Camps Bay has its own beach volleyball club with ex-pat US Dave Mercer, who compared at Atlanta Olympics.
Downside: There are no permanent nets as the tides do come up and cover the beach every so often but the sand seems to dry out very fast. Avoid the old drainage pipes which are hidden under the sand but you can see their location.
Around the coast towards the City are Clifton Beaches, which are excuisitly sheltered from some of the more stronger winds, Clifton 2 and 3 ,they only hold one or two courts. It the most perfect private beach to train on down steep steps but worth every one. Clifton 4 is the largest of these beaches. Avoid Clifton one its not so user friendly especially early mornings! There are more beaches to play around the area just ask the locals at Camps Bay they will point you in the right direction, if you do have a direct link to the local club please let us know
