THE NORTH DEVON LEAGUE LADDER

The North Devon League Ladders are a new innovation for indoor volleyball. Its aimed at small sided teams of 2, 3 or 4 players as well as individuals who want to play regular volleyball, without the added commitment of finding 5 other people to team up with and having to commit to playing every week.

People can play with different players or teams throughout the session. They can stay with the same team it doesn’t matter. Each person is given their own score card, they record the score of the match they have played and who they played with and against.

To have a valid score card for that evening a person must play a minimum of 3 matches to record their score for the league.

Throughout the course of the season there will be grand slam events where there will be double points scored. A player must play in at least 8 sessions to be considered for the Champions Race, as the winner of the Champions Race is scored by using the persons' best 8 results.

There are three league ladders operating in North Devon, On Monday at Bideford College from 7:30-9:00 p.m. Thursday night at the North Devon College from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and also for U 14’s at the North Devon College on Saturday mornings 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

As well on Monday evenings at the North Devon College, there is a very small 6-a-side league, made up of four mens’ and four womens’ teams, they play alternative weeks starting from the 15th Sept 2008, check the calendar out for the dates. North Devon Volleyball Calendar
