| Last Year in the First Division there was a shoot out what is this and how does it work? | All it means is that in the first division players will go down from Top 16,(Sat a.m.) to 8 (Sat p.m.)to 4 (sun a.m.)to the top 2. These two then play one single game to see who wins the title. The top placed person chooses who they want to play the shoot out with first, it can be anyone from their division except a partner who they have played the last three events with. If they have only played one with a person then they can still chose them. This allows for a Grand Final and its easier to understand in regards people watching. This final match will only decide the top two places. |
| Is it still Side Out Scoring | Yes we are going to stick with that until I am not the TD anymore and some younger person wants to change it, I like to keep this format in memory of what a great game we used to have. |
| I have never played Croyde how does it work? | On the Sat' morning you will be in a pool with three other players in a division determined by your results from last years ranking points. You will play three matches side out scoring to 15 pts, one with each player. The person who wins the most matches wins the pool and you will finish in a position 1-4 in your pool. Then on Saturday afternoon in Division 2 downwards you will play in another pool of four players, this will give you a ranking within your division from 1-16. If you win your pool in the morning you will play for the title in your division, if you come last in the morning you will play off for places 13th-16th in your division. | I usually play in the A event but this year I cant see that on the EVA entry form? | This year you enter the competition and you are placed in the category relating to last years EVA VEBT ranking points, ratings and finishes.
