| Building a beach court if you want it for multi use can be a difficult decision to make depending on cost, size of your area, security, clubs in your community who would use the site. There are more beach sports played now more than ever. Starting with Ultimate Frisby to build a sand pit using the full size (100mx37m) but there is no reason a smaller verison of the game couldn't be played. Next in size comes beach rugby at 60mx30m, again this can be played on a scaled down version. The size of court as shown in the diagram is a beach soccer pitch, being that football is our beloved game, beach soccer will continue to rise in the growing beach sports games and will appeal to a wider market. The actual playing area is 37mx28m but a 2m run off around the pitch lines. Two beach handball courts can be placed into a beach soccer pitch and three beach volleyball, beach tennis or footvolley. Beach sports that are up and coming and are useful links to consider, beach badminton and boules. In Holland and France there are large beach petanque or boule tournaments and is growing fast in the uk. |
